76% of Physicians Recommend Medical Marijuana Treatment
New England Journal of Medicine conducted a survey according to which the better part of physicians would recommend medical marijuana treatment for their patients.
All interviewed physicians had the same task. They had to decide whether prescribe marijuana treatment to a hypothetical patient Marilyn, a 68-year-old women suffering from breast cancer which had spread to her lungs, chest and spine.
The majority of physicians decided to help her and ease her pain by means of medical marijuana treatment.
1446 doctors from all around the world took part in this survey. Some of them even commented their decision.
The authors of the survey told they were surprised by such results – 76% of respondents supported medical marijuana treatment.
